2023 election: Atiku flloors Tinubu, Obi, Kwankwaso in Katsina
The presidential candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar, has been declared the winner of the Saturday, February 25, presidential election in Katsina State.
Atiku polled a total of 489, 045 votes, according to the results announced on Monday evening by the Independent National Electoral Commission’s (INEC) collation officers for the 34 Local Government Areas (LGAs) in the state.
The presidential candidate of the All Progressives Party (APC), Bola Tinubu, polled a total of 482,283 votes.
On the other hand, the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) presidential candidate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, received 69,386 votes, while the presidential candidate of the Labour Party, Peter Obi, polled 6,376 votes in the state.
The total number of registered voters in the state is 3,516,719, while the number of accredited voters is 1,097,663.
The total number of valid votes is 1,058,673, the number of rejected votes is 32,514, and the total number of votes cast is 1,091,187.
