The Action Alliance (AA) has launched a digital membership portal in a major push to modernise political participation and expand grassroots engagement across Nigeria.
Unveiled in Abuja, the platform enables Nigerians to register online and receive instant digital membership cards—effectively eliminating the delays and inefficiencies associated with manual registration.
National Chairman, Udeze Kenneth, described the initiative as a “historic milestone,” saying the party is repositioning itself as a people-driven movement.
“We are not just building a political party; we are building a movement that puts the people first,” he said.
The portal allows users to sign up using their phone numbers, removing the need for complex login systems. Upon registration, members receive a digital card embedded with a QR code for easy verification during party activities, including rallies and primaries.
Developed by Augustine Ugbede Thomas of Stinet Digital, the system introduces real-time verification tools using phone numbers or National Identification Numbers (NIN), helping to prevent duplicate registrations and improve data integrity.
Party officials say the platform covers all 36 states and the FCT, with detailed mapping down to local government areas and polling units—ensuring nationwide reach and participation.
A live membership counter also displays real-time registration figures, a feature the party says will deepen transparency and encourage broader citizen engagement.
For members, benefits include:
Instant digital ID cards
Participation in party primaries
Event invitations
Easy profile updates
Administrators, meanwhile, can access a central dashboard to track, verify and analyse membership data for planning and mobilisation.
Thomas described the project as “technology serving democracy,” noting that it is scalable to accommodate millions of users. He added that future upgrades will include SMS alerts, digital campaign tools, event check-ins, payment integration, and a mobile app.
The party said the initiative aligns with its broader goal of modernising Nigeria’s political system and attracting more young people into active political participation.
“This is the future of political participation—transparent, inclusive, and accessible to every Nigerian with a phone,” the party stated.
