The North East Development Commission (NEDC) in partnership with a pro-Tinubu group, Lobito Group for Asiwaju has distributed starter packs to 560 food and tea vendors across the 20 local government areas of Bauchi State.

State Chairman of the Group, Alhaji Abdulahi Lanzai, while distributing the items said the empowerment initiative was to boost small businesses across the State. “By providing these essential items, NEDC hopes to enhance the capacity of local food and tea vendors,” he said.

He noted that the initiative was to grow the businesses that would contribute to the state’s economic growth.

Also, the National Coordinator of the Group, Usman Yah said the move is part of the Group and the Commission’s efforts to support the economic development of the people at the grassroots.

He said essential food items distributed to the beneficiaries include rice, sugar, cooking oil, spaghetti, flour, and more to enhance their business. “Other items include hospital blankets, baby showers and clothes, as well as wrappers for the less privileged,” Yau said.

He said that NEDC is committed to improving the lives of citizens in the North-East region. The empowerment, according to him, is a testament of their dedication to promoting economic growth and development in the State.

He added that Lobito Group for Asiwaju and NEDC partnership efforts to boost petty businesses and enhance economic development in Bauchi State.
