Giving more insight on the conference, she disclosed that the theme of the training is apt, considering the hordes of mental and emotional challenges that the personnel go through in discharging their duties.
Coach Diddi asserted that the training was indeed a welcome development as it would not only go a long way to boost the morale of the female police officers but would further allow them to become more upbeat and committed to their jobs.
The expert highlighted some key points of her presentation: “Success begins from the mind. Anyone who has a mastery of the mind can achieve anything in life. So, the idea of mind management in policing is all about creating an awareness of the critical role the mind plays in influencing lifestyle and career.”
She noted that the objective of a training like this for women in the Police Force, is to foster growth mindset, improve mental health awareness and emotional resilience in policing. “This training exposed the participants to the role of upbringing, environment and significant emotional events which influence thinking, behaviour, lifestyle and policing.
The participants were also taken through a session on developing a growth mindset towards life and work, awareness on mental health illnesses, signs and symptoms as well as how to break the stigma attached to mental health.
Coach Diddi is a Life Development Expert and has been admitted into Forbes Coaches Council, an invitation only community for leading business and career coaches across the globe.
