Hitherto warring factions in the Abia State All Progressives Congress (APC) have ended their differences and resolved to progress as one party under one state leadership led by Donatus Nwankpa who was a factional chairman.

Other members under the harmonized union under Nwankpa’s Chairmanship, were: John Ogunka, Deputy chairman; Dry Emmanuel Ndukwe, Secretary; Austin Anyaegbu, Deputy Secretary; Philomena Iwegbu, Women Leader; Ikenna Anya, Youth Leader; Gabriel Dimgba, Treasurer; and Benedict Godson, Publicity Secretary. The hitherto factional Chairman, Mr. Fabian Okonkwo became the APC Zonal Organizing Secretary.

Under this new leadership, the members publicly declared at the meeting that sacking the present PDP government in the state in the 2019 election is the task that they must accomplish.

APC National Vice-chairman, South East, Chief Emma Enukwu, who presided over the meeting, said that Abia APC needed the support of every member of the party to succeed.
