Ogun HoS tasks Nigerians on new ideas for better endeavours
Ogun State Governor, Dapo Abiodun, has commended the out-gone Director of the Department of State Services (DSS) in the state, Mr. David Tuska, for his honesty, dedication to service and ability to ensure inter-agency co-operation and collaboration while in the state.

Abiodun gave this commendation, yesterday, when he played host to Tuska in his office. He described Tuska as a dependable member of the state’s security team who was very amiable and hardworking.

He said he enjoyed working with him.

Meanwhile, Abiodun has assured his successor, Likinyo Abimbola and her police counterpart, Lanre Bankole, of his administration’s readiness to support them to make the state the safest and best destination for businesses in the country.

He charged them to ensure that they continue to maintain the inter-agency relationship among the various security agencies in the state.

IN another development, Nigerians have been urged to grab the opportunity to learn new ways of doing things to improve themselves and be better in all their endeavours.

Ogun State Head of Service, Alhaja Selimot Ottun, gave the admonition, yesterday, during the seventh yearly conference of Chartered Institute of Personnel Management of Nigeria (CIPM), Ogun State Branch, held virtually.
with the theme, “Workplace Challenges In The New World of Work: The Need For Re- Skilling,” said that people should embrace new ideas.

Ottun, represented by the Permanent Secretary, Bureau of Service Matters, Mr. Dahunsi Ogunleye, urged every individual to improve on knowledge, adding that COVID-19 pandemic had made things to be done with ‘new normal” approach.

In his welcome address, Chairman, CIPM, Ogun State Branch, who was also the Director of Welfare, Bureau of Service Matters, Mr. Abubakar Adeduntan, said that the changes being experienced all over the world require professionals in human resources practices to innovate, engage and empower the workforce with new skills to keep up with the trends.

Also, President and Chairman, Governing Council of CIPM, Mr. Olusegun Mojeed, appreciated the Head of Service for being part of the programme, urging members to always make protocols, publicity and performance as essential parts of professionalism in their programmes.
