Abiodun spoke at the Ogun State Investment Summit held in Brazil, on the sidelines of the BRIC summit attended by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, five governors, ministers, and other government officials.
The summit is in furtherance of the investment drive of the Governor Abiodun-led administration for the rapid development of the state.
He described the state as investor-friendly and one of the most developed ones in Nigeria.
MEANWHILE, wife of Ogun State Governor, Bamidele Abiodun, has launched the first Endoscopy machine at the Olabisi Onabanjo University Teaching Hospital (OOUTH), Sagamu, Ogun State.
The initiative, initiated through her pet project, Ajose Foundation, marks a significant milestone in her commitment to improving healthcare in the state.
The machine was donated through Abiodun’s partnership with Naykas Healthcare Incorporated, a United States (U.S.)-based medical team that had yearly been providing free medical care and surgeries to the indigent citizens of the state.
According to Abiodun, the medical team, which visits Ogun State yearly to provide free medical care to indigent citizens, has been instrumental in enhancing the hospital’s capabilities, noting that the teaching hospital had been receiving modern equipment from the collaboration to enhance health service delivery at the hospital.
Abiodun, who appreciated the management of OOUTH for its support, as well as the collaboration of the institution’s medical personnel with the team, advised people to seek medical intervention early while it could be treated.
The team lead, Dr Musbau Kasumu, in an interview, said the new endoscopy machine would significantly enhance the hospital’s diagnostic capabilities as well as enable medical professionals to conduct detailed examinations and treatments of internal organs and tissues, adding that the advanced technology would improve patients’ outcomes by enabling more accurate diagnoses and targeted treatments.
