The absence of defendant, Oluwaseun Oladapo, the suspected killer of human rights crusader, Kunle Fadipe stalled the continuation of trial before a Lagos High Court sitting in Ikeja.

He could not appear in court yesterday for continuation of his defence because of a surgery, which he underwent on his leg.

Also, the lead Prosecution counsel, the Lagos State Directorate of Public Prosecution (DPP), Mrs. Idowu Alakija was absent due to ill health.

At the resumed hearing before Justice Atinuke Ipaye, the Assistant State Counsel, Babajide Boye informed the court of the inability of the DPP to be at the proceedings due to ill health.

It would be recalled that Oladapo is standing trial for allegedly killing Fadipe on July 4, 2014 at his house at No 1, Harmony Estate, Ifako-Ijaiye, Iju, Lagos.
