Abuja is set to become the stage for a groundbreaking entrepreneurship showcase as the Abuja Youth Talent Hunt is offering over ₦6 million in cash prizes alongside access to mentorship, training, and investment opportunities.
Organised by Abuja Investments Company Limited in partnership with the Abuja Enterprise Agency, the competition aims to equip young innovators with the skills and resources to transform their business ideas into thriving enterprises.
Targeting entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35, the event focuses on three key sectors: Information Technology, Agriculture, and Creative Enterprise.
Participants will benefit from business plan training, presentation (pitch) skills coaching, and one-on-one mentorship from seasoned investors and industry leaders.
Winners in each category will walk away with cash prizes of ₦1,000,000, ₦750,000, and ₦500,000, with additional access to investment funds and credit facilities worth millions.
The five-phase programme runs from August 20 to September 24, 2025, beginning with a nationwide call for entries and culminating in a grand finale where finalists will pitch their ideas before a panel of expert judges. Following the event, participants will receive ongoing monitoring and networking opportunities to ensure business sustainability.
Organisers emphasise that the initiative is more than a competition; it’s a capacity-building platform designed to address key SME challenges in Nigeria, ranging from a lack of finance to limited market access.
Abuja, ranked first in ease of starting a business in Nigeria, provides an ideal setting for driving innovation, creating jobs, and fostering economic growth.
According to AICL, registration is open from August 11 to 20, 2025, via aythunt.abujainvestments.com. The venue is Abuja Enterprise Agency, Plot 74, Sector Centre A, Cadastral Zone B15, Jahi, Abuja FCT.
