Dr. Ebube Mbonu, a renowned sustainable development expert and patriot citizen, has emphasized the need for active community engagement and responsive governance in Nigeria. He advocates for a coordinating office to ensure citizen/stakeholder feedback mechanisms, dictating policy formulation, coordination, and implementation by popular demands.
Dr. Mbonu criticizes the legislature’s disconnection from citizens’ dreams and aspirations, the Public Complaints Commission’s inaction, and the National Orientation Agency’s silence. He highlights the marginalization of vulnerable groups, despite existing disability prohibition laws, commissions and offices.

However, Dr. Mbonu commends initiatives like the Beyond Disability Project, which he volunteered to serve as a member on the president committee, led by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Special Needs and Equal opportunities, Hon. Mohammed Abba Isah, which harnesses the potential of persons living with disabilities through technology.
He also welcomes the appointments of Mr. Ayuba Gufwan as the Executive Secretary of National Commission for Persons living with disabilities and Ms. Aishat Alubankudi as Programme Manager of Grants for Vulnerable Groups, aiming to promote inclusion and accessibility.
He announced the facilitation of a partial scholarship program for persons living with disabilities in Nigeria to study courses of technological and social development interests, from a US based institution, Poise and California of the California State University.
Dr Ebube Mbonu also acknowledged the dutiful Honorable Minister of Agriculture and Food Security, Mohammad Mahmood Abubakar, through the Director of Agriculture in the ministry, Engineer Abdullahi G. Abubakar, for a speedy intervention plan to procure and distribute homegrown organo-mineral fertilizers to farmers nationwide as an effort in national economic interest and food security.
Dr. Mbonu urges President Bola Ahmed Tinubu to reassess unproductive cabinet members and appointees for innovative performance evaluations and tangible improvements. He emphasizes technology’s role in streamlining processes for effective service delivery, citing successful applications by private institutions and governments worldwide.
