Adamawa seeks more as NEDC commissions projects in Gombe

North East Development Commission (NEDC)

ADAMAWA government, yesterday, appealed to the North East Development Commission (NEDC) to expand the scope of its development projects in the state to further improve the living conditions of residents.

Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri made the appeal through his deputy, Professor Kaletapwa George Farauta, during a courtesy visit by the Minister of State for Regional Development, Uba Maigari Ahmed, at the Government House in Yola.
The governor noted that the influx of people from neighbouring Borno and Yobe states had placed immense pressure on existing infrastructure and public facilities in Adamawa, underscoring the need for additional intervention by the commission.

He assured the NEDC that the state government remains committed to the proper utilisation and maintenance of all projects executed by the commission for their intended purposes.
