Adeboye, The Herald Editor, now GM of KWPPC
Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq has appointed Clement Adeboye as the new General Manager of Kwara State Printing and Publishing Corporation (KWPPC), publishers of the The Herald newspapers.
Adeboye, a creative writer and member of International Press Institute (IPI), who hails from Esie in Irepodun Council, was, until the appointment, the Editor (Daily) of The Herald, one of the oldest state-owned newspapers in Nigeria.
“This appointment is based on his track records in the print media and professional acumen in particular. The state government expects that he will bring his rich professional ability, dedication, competence and experience to bear in the discharge of his duties,” the governor said in a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Rafiu Ajakaye.
With the appointment, Adeboye assumes overall responsibility of KWPPC and editorial guardianship of all the titles it publishes.
He comes to the job with over 20 years of cognate experience from various newsrooms in Nigeria.
