THE first civilian governor of Osun State, Senator Isiaka Adeleke, has called on Nigerians to use the opportunity provided by the general elections to vote out the People’s Democratic Party (PDP to fast track the development of the country

Adeleke, in a statement by his media adviser, Olumide Lawal, said that, now more than ever before, is the time for all members of APC and NIgerians, to show resilience and grim resolve, to return Nigeria to the path of greatness, by voting massively for all APC candidates in the March 28 and April 11 general election.

The former governor, who was addressing a large number of supporters and well wishers, who came from the ten Local Government Areas of Osun West District, to welcome him back home after a two week holiday in Lagos, said that, there would not be any more shift in the election, as the constitution and the electoral act forbid such illegality.

He counseled the mammoth crowd at his Ede Country Home, to go back to their constituencies and educate the APC supporters on the need to turn out enmasse, to vote and display gallantly and bravery, just as they did during the August 9, 2014 governorship election, despite the presence of over 103,000 security operatives deployed to the State at that time.

According to him, Goodluck Jonathan should not be allowed to have 5% of their votes in whatever guise, as another four years of PDP-led Federal Government will spell disaster for the nation.

He reiterated that, for him, it is populist politics that will ensure equality, equity, fairness and fear of God in the distribution of social amenities in Osun West District, without fear or favour.

He further enjoined the APC members to see the next few days as very crucial and should therefore, guard their loins, protect their PVC’s and brave up to the challenges ahead, as Nigeria belongs to us all.

Adeleke told the gathering to see the unguarded outbursts of the likes of Ayo Fayose and Femi Fani-Kayode as raintings of an ant sayng Yoruba history will judge the duo very harshly.

The former Chairman of Senate Committee on INEC, assured the people of Osun State, that as soon as the 2015 appreciation budget is passed by the Osun State House of Assembly, Ogbeni Rauf Aregbesola would swing into action over ongoing projects in the State, pointing out, that the State is solvent to meet its capital project needs.
