Adeola mourns death of veteran actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo

Senator Solomon Adeola, the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Ogun State, has expressed sadness over the death of popular Yoruba actor, Taiwo Babatunde Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo.

Hassan, who died after an illness, was described by Adeola as a brother, supporter and a committed advocate for the development of Ogun State and Nigeria.

In a condolence message to the family of the deceased, the senator said the actor’s death was a great loss to the creative and entertainment industry, as well as to his family, Ogun State and the country.

The condolence message was contained in a statement signed and made available in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital, by Chief Kayode Odunaro, Media Adviser to Senator Adeola.

Adeola said he was particularly saddened by the death of the actor, whom he described as someone who believed in and worked assiduously for his political cause and the interests of the people.

“I am greatly saddened by the death of a brother who believed and worked assiduously for my cause and the cause of our people. I sympathise with his immediate family for their efforts and struggles to keep the dearly departed alive following his illness. God knows best in all circumstances,” he said.

The senator noted that Hassan’s contribution to the promotion of a better society through filmmaking and other forms of positive advocacy would remain memorable.

He added that the late thespian left behind a legacy worthy of emulation, particularly through his contributions to the creative industry and society at large.

Adeola also pledged continued support for the deceased’s immediate family during their period of mourning, saying the good deeds of the patriarch would not be forgotten.

He prayed for the peaceful repose of Hassan’s soul and for God to grant his family the strength and fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.
