The complainant in a case involving Jigawa State Commissioner for Special Duties Auwalu Danladi Sankara has alleged interference by the Jigawa and Kano State governments to subvert justice.

The Kano State Hisbah morality police had earlier arrested Sankara, accusing him of committing adultery. Buba expressed concerns that the actions of the state governments are intended to obstruct the course of justice.
Speaking at a press conference in Kano, he raised the alarm over recent developments, particularly the disappearance of Sankara, who was reportedly granted bail by the Hisbah Board.
Hisbah declared that Sankara’s whereabouts could not be confirmed two days after his release. Bubacriticised the handling of the case, stating that the Hisbah Board’s decision to redirect the investigation to the Assistant Inspector General (AIG) Zone One office for further investigation was a deliberate attempt to “kill the case.”
He argued that the Kano State Police Command and the Hisbah Board had already completed their investigations, and he saw no justification for reopening the matter.
“I believe this redirection is a ploy to undermine justice. The police and Hisbah have investigated this case thoroughly, and now it is being delayed and manipulated. I will not accept any interference that denies me the justice I seek,” Buba said.
He also refuted claims made by his wife’s legal counsel, who had alleged that Buba had divorced his wife some time ago and that he had been abusive, even firing gunshots during their disagreements. Buba vehemently denied these accusations, insisting that his wife, Tasleem, still resides with him and that he has never owned a firearm.
“The claims made by my wife’s lawyer are completely false. Tasleem is still my wife, and she lives in my house. I do not own a gun, let alone fire one during any argument. I call on the governors of Jigawa and Kano to ensure that justice is served in this matter,” Buba added.
The complainant urged the legal counsel to withdraw the allegations against him and correct the record. He warned that if the false accusations were not retracted, he would have no option but to pursue legal action to restore his reputation.
