Afropop artiste Kemji talks forthcoming EP and what to expect

Nigerian Afropop act Kemji formerly known as Lil Kem has rebranded and changed his stage name and is set to drop a new project next month.
The singer Born Obieze Nkemjika Anokwuru, the Afropop singer started making music at a young age and made his entry into the music industry as far back as 2015 with two singles ‘Insane’ and ‘Catching Cruise’ which enjoyed massive radio play.
With The New Stage name Kemji, He made the announcement on his social media pages that his new EP will be released in few weeks
Speaking about what to expect from the forthcoming project, “My new EP will have my fans and listeners see a new me, a more matured artiste and somebody who has mastered his craft over the years,” he said.
The new stage name comes 7 years after his debut single and he is set to drop a new EP to confirm the change of name. From Kizz Daniel, to 2Baba to BNXN and lots more, Kemji becomes the 9th Nigerian artiste to change his stage name.
Kemji believes this new rebranding and name change will give him a better positioning in the industry and when fans search his music as it formerly clashes with American Hip Hop Icon Lil Kim.
