AKWA IBOM State Governor, Udom Emmanuel says his administration would continue to engage the private sector towards boosting the economy of the state.

Speaking while performing the ground-breaking ceremony of the proposed Thompson & Grace Medical City project in Afaha Obong, Abak Local Council yesterday, Emmanuel who was represented by his deputy Mr. Moses Ekpo praised the ingenuity and patriotic spirit of the Group Managing Director of Thompson & Grace, Dr. Isaac Amos for siting the project in the state.

He assured the proprietors of the proposed medical city of the government’s adequate support to bring the project to fruition.

Welcoming guests to the event, Dr. Amos said that “the justification for the establishment of the Thompson & Grace Medical University and its sister entities in the Medical City is part of efforts at promoting and enhancing medical education, clinical research and delivery of health care.”
