Ajadi promises to increase workers’ salary, boost Ogun IGR if elected governor
The governorship candidate of the New Nigeria People’s Party in Ogun State, Olufemi Ajadi Oguntoyinbo has promised to increase the salary of the civil servants of the state and also increase the Internal Generated Revenue to cater for it.
He made the promise on Wednesday on a radio program in Abeokuta, the state capital, calling on the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) not to be intimidated by the ruling party to manipulate the election.
Oguntoyinbo noted that the good people of Ogun state will not commit another blunder by re-electing the incumbent, but will show them the way out of office through the power of the poll.
He added that “NNPP is out to rescue the state from political merchants whose goal is to milk the treasury dry. We can see it in the way the affairs of the state are run. Education is in a coma, the security of lives and properties can not be guaranteed, pensioners are in agony, the economy is sick. NNPP will bring true governance to the people, putting a smile on the face of the people.”
He called on the people of the state to ignore the fire brigade’s sympathy of the Dapo Abiodun Administration, by increasing annual payments of gratuity and timely payment of salaries, saying that it was an indirect way of buying their vote for the coming election.
The governorship candidate said the people are wiser, and will surely use their voting power to bring in a true leader next week Saturday.
Abeokuta South 1 House of Assembly Candidate of NNPP, Hon Badmos Oladayo Kilamuwaye also said on the program that the people should use their elective power to vote for all NNPP candidates on Saturday.
He said he will provide the basic social needs of the people of Abeokuta South 1 when elected.
