AJINOMOTO, a food seasoning brand, recently threw its weight behind women advocacy programme, when it joined others in the Widows Empowerment Day event held in Gabi Kagoma LGA in Kaduna State.

The head, Evaluation and Communications, Dele Ojo, in a release said the programme is part of the company’s core area of focus. The project, which is in its third year witnessed the presentation of working tools like grinding machines, sewing machines, fertilizers and farming implements, hairdressing accessories, start-up business capital to widows across the country. Some women who have concluded their vocational training gave testimonies of how the programme has empowered them.

ADWEF currently has 3000 widows in eight states, namely Lagos, Benue, Plateau, Kaduna, Delta, Abia, Cross River, and Ogun.
