Aliu Toluwani launches empowerment programme to award tuition scholarships
Founder of Upsurge Global Aliu Toluwani is set to award 10 Nigerian students a full year Tuition Scholarship.
Toluwani known as Victor Regal said Aliu Empowerment Programme has a primary aim to help young Nigerian students sustain a learning process in their respective fields.
Selected students are awarded a Full Year Tuition Scholarship, and subsequently undergo Community Development Sessions and Mentorship Programmes to equip them with the right set of skills towards employability, technological knowledge, changemakers and agents for social impacts.
Last year, Upsurge Global launched its first Aliu Empowerment Program Cohort, awarding tuition scholarships to 11 students in four Nigerian schools.
Toluwani said the importance of Education cannot be overemphasised as it has proven to be a universal window to the world at large.
“Education remains one of the foremost keys to success, as without any form of education, there is simply no life,” Toluwani said.
Oluwafemi Royal Aliu, Global Adviser at Upsurge Global said ”In today’s rapidly evolving world, education plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of individuals and societies. However, financial constraints often hinder talented students from pursuing their academic dreams. The Aliu Empowerment program seeks to break down and empower deserving students to overcome financial obstacles and also be equipped with necessary employability skills.
“Education is what keeps the world informed through the emergence of new ideas via old notions and the prediction of the future. However, according to global sources, millions of Nigerian Students – teenagers and youths- are missing the immeasurable advantages that education provides because they cannot sustain a consistent education process.” Toluwani said.
