Ambode sympathises with officer bathed with acid

LAGOS State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, yesterday sympathised with the family of a paramilitary official attached to the Lagos State Task Force, Silas Akude, who was bathed with acid last week while on duty.

LAGOS State governor, Akinwunmi Ambode, yesterday sympathised with the family of a paramilitary official attached to the Lagos State Task Force, Silas Akude, who was bathed with acid last week while on duty. Ambode also directed the health ministry to take over all medical treatment towards the rehabilitation of the victim.
 
The governor, who sent his Special Adviser on Environment, Babatunde Hunpe, on a sympathy visit to the victim, also demanded that all medical expenses incurred by Akude’s family be forwarded to the government for refund.
 
Akude, a task force paramilitary officer, was last week bathed with acid by an unidentified hoodlums at Oshodi-Oke. Chairman of the Lagos task force, Olubukola Abe, said Akude is a diligent and dedicated officer of the agency.
