Anambra police arrest 29-year-old woman for attempted murder

Operatives of Anambra State Police Command have arrested a 29- year-old woman, Mrs. Onwanna Nnenna for attempted murder on Saturday at Otu Street, Awada Onitsha area of the state.
    
Spokesperson for the Command, Tochukwu Ikenga, who confirmed the incident, yesterday, said operatives also rescued the victim, one Miss Ijeoma Nwafor, a 14-year-old female and native of Achalla, who lives in the same building.
   
Ikenga said Nwafor was pushed down from a four-storey building by the suspect, who hails from Nando, Anambra East Local Council.

“ Police operatives at about 4:00 p.m. on July 2  arrested one Mrs. Onwanna Nnenna ‘f’, 29 from Nando, Anambra East on a case of attempted murder that happened at Otu street, Awada Onitsha. 
 
“Preliminary information shows that the victim, one Miss Ijeoma Nwafor. ‘f’ 14, native of Achalla was pushed down from a four-storey building by the suspect, when she was beating her. Other details revealed that the victim is a house help to the suspect.
 
“Meanwhile, Mrs. Nnenna is currently in custody and the victim, receiving treatment in a hospital,” he said, adding that further development shall be communicated.”
