APC only delaying evil day — Ortom
Benue State Governor, Samuel Ortom sees the postponement as one of the hatched plans by the All Progressives Congress (APC) leadership to buy additional time before their defeat.
Speaking yesterday in Makurdi, Ortom described the development as unfortunate, stating that for INEC to postpone the elections it took more than three years to plan, a few hours to the commencement of voting, was a rape of democracy.
He said his people were prepared for free, fair and transparent elections that would usher in leaders who can operate the country’s democracy, based on the rule of law.
He advised Benue residents to be law-abiding and peaceful during and after the elections.
