A cross-section of stakeholders of the All Progressives Congress (FCT) in Abuja have alleged that they have been sidelined over the appointment of mandate secretaries by the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike.
Led by Mr Lawrence Mbanefo, they claimed it is highly a disservice to them, who worked day and night for the party, not to be rewarded with such appointment of such magnitude.
The stakeholders accused the Minister of rewarding members of the People’s Democratic Party with such appointments at the detriment of the real progressives.
They maintained that Wike’s appointment is not a license for him to see the FCT as a reward mechanism for his people without recourse to protect the interests of the party that honoured him with such position.
They thereby called on the national chairman of the party, Dr Abdullahi Umar Ganduje to look into their plight and redress it now before it gets out of hands.
Calling for the removal of the newly appointed mandate secretaries, they threatened to demonstrate openly over the alleged the injustice meted out to them.
