APC tasks security agencies, media on killings in Rivers

APC-LOGO-17The Acting National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress, (APC) Chief Segun Oni has decried the recent spate of violence during which he said members of his party were attacked and killed ahead of the upcoming rerun elections in Rivers state.

He also chided the media for not giving adequate coverage of the attacks against APC in Rivers and other parts of the country.

Oni who spoke during a special session by the party in honour of the late Minister of of State for Labour and Productivity, James Ocholi at the party secretariat in Abuja, also called on security agencies to rise and stem the tide of violence in Rivers State calling the situation “tragic and a huge embarrassment and a source of worry to the party”.

Oni said: “The police and other security agencies should take responsibility for what is happening in Rivers State.”
