Apostolic Church advocates youth empowerment to combat insecurity, others

The leadership of The Apostolic Church Nigeria (TACN), yesterday, appealed to leaders in the country to galvanise economic policies that would cushion the harsh effect of youth unemployment, which has opened windows for insecurity, banditry, insurgency and kidnapping in the country.

National President of TACN, Pastor (Dr.) Sampson Ekwutosi Igwe, who disclosed this during a tour of TACN Areas, LAWNA territory in Benin City Zone, Edo State, stressed the need for youth involvement in promoting national development and peaceful co-existence.

Igwe also canvassed the need for aggressive evangelism for soul-winning, adding that the body of Christ must go back to soul winning and leave frivolities, which according to him, remains the mandate of the church in the great commission.

On the recent xenophobic attack on Nigerians in South Africa, he called on President Muhammudu Buhari to leverage on existing bilateral trade relations with the government of South Africa to put an end to the inhuman act and ensure peaceful co-existence among Nigerians with legitimate employment and immigration permit in South Africa.
