Army Offer Free Medical Services To Bakassi IDPs
AS health and medical condition continue deteriorate at the Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs’) camp in Bakassi, Cross River State, the Nigerian Army has come to the rescue.
Yesterday, the 13 Brigade of the Nigerian Army, Calabar took free medical services, drugs and other consumables to the over 2,800 families who lost their homes in Cameroon following the ceding of the oil rich Bakassi to Cameroon by the International Court of Justice (ICJ) in 2002 and the final pull out by Nigeria in August, 2008 after the 2005 Green Tree Agreement.
Some of the medical services offered at the camp include; malaria and blood pressure tests, de-worming, hypertension management, advice and drug administration among others.
