Yunusa, who gave the ruling, said the accused should be kept behind bars for facts and sentence.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Brodricks, 27, whose address is unknown, however, pleaded guilty to the charge of dealing in hard drugs.
Earlier, the prosecutor, Mr Jeremiah Aernan, a National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) official, told the court that the accused committed the offence on April 19 at No. 62, Dillion St., Kirikiri in Amuwo- Odofin area of Lagos.
According to him, the accused was caught with 1.5 kg of hemp at Kirikiri.
The offence, Aernan noted, contravened Section 11(c) of the NDLEA Act, Laws of the Federation, 2004.
The prosecutor urged the court to remand the accused in custody and requested for a date for the review of facts of the case.
“My Lord, due to the plea of the accused and the absence of the exhibits which will enable me to do a proper review of the facts of the case, may the case be adjourned and the accused remanded in prison custody.”
The case has been adjourned to June 22.
