GlobacomRESIDENTS of Awka, Anambra State, have described Glo Laffta Fest, the flagship comedy show of Globacom, as first-class entertainment. They spoke after a successful completion of the Awka edition of the show on Friday.

Many subscribers, who attended the show held at the Marble Arch Hotel and Events Centre, Awka, commended Globacom for bringing the Laffta Fest comedy show, which is currently touring major cities in Nigeria, to Awka.

One of the guests, Amaka Amamchukwu, who was the third runner-up in the Miss Anambra 2015 pageant, said Globacom was taking entertainment to another level in Nigeria. “This is the second entertainment show by Globacom in Awka within four weeks. It’s very commendable that Globacom is promoting entertainment in Nigeria, touring the whole country with two premium shows.”

Another guest at the show, Hon. Timothy Ifedioranma, a member of the Anambra State House of Assembly, said the Glo Laffta Fest initiative was a very laudable idea. “Coming to watch these great comedians perform relaxes the nerves,” he said.

Chudi Okoye, an auto engineer, said he felt privileged to have been invited to the show. “I am so proud to be a Glo subscriber. This is one of the best shows I have ever attended. I and my family had great entertainment,” he declared.

The Awka edition of Glo Laffta Fest featured leading comedians and artistes, including host, Basket Mouth, Okey Bakassi, Gandoki, I Go Dye, Acapella, Funny Bone, Mayor, Omawumi and Wiz Kid, who made the evening memorable for the guests.

The next port of call for the show was Owerri, the Imo State capital, yesterday, November 29.

The firm in a statement urged ‘ subscribers who wish to attend the show in Owerri, Nsukka, Aba and Makurdi,’ to do so “by using up to N3,000 before the show and sending ‘LOL’ and preferred location of the show to 33001.”
