Ayodeji Awodoyin launches “Jesus Collection” at the United Nations

Nigerian designer, prophet, and advocate Ayodeji Awodoyin has launched her first fashion collection, The Jesus Collection, during activities surrounding the United Nations Commission on the Status of Women in New York.

Awodoyin, founder of Ayo Awodoyin Signatures, unveiled the collection as part of a bold campaign titled #JesusAtTheUN, which seeks to encourage Christians to express their faith confidently even in global spaces.

The designer first launched her fashion brand in July 2025 on her birthday. Since then, she has immersed herself in learning the craft of fabric sourcing and garment creation, producing ready-to-wear pieces using Adire, a traditional Yoruba hand-dyed textile created by women artisans in Nigeria.

“The Jesus Collection is more than fashion. It is a message. As Christians, we should not shrink back in global spaces. There is a place for believers to boldly represent Jesus even on international platforms.”

Beyond fashion, Awodoyin serves as a prophet and leads Testimonies of Christ Charity Center, a faith-based ministry dedicated to spreading the gospel and supporting charitable outreach. She is also the founder of Initiative For Girl’s Rights and Health Development, where she advocates for the protection and empowerment of women and girls particularly against harmful practices like Female Genital Mutilation.

The launch of the collection has already gained attention among leaders present during the global gathering. Community leader Queen Mother Dr. Delois Blakely and Pamela Morgan Co-chair of the UN CSW are among those who have received pieces from the collection.

Pamela Morgan says, “I am very proud of what Ayodeji Awodoyin is doing as this is what UNCSW is all about and in 2027, we will give her a bigger space for exhibition.” Queen Mother Blakely wore the signature piece to give a speech at the UN Chapel and encouraged Ayodeji to stay positive, seen and heard. The Jesus Collection got sold out at the first week of the UNCSW70

Through the #JesusAtTheUN campaign, Awodoyin hopes to spark a broader conversation about faith, culture, and the presence of Christian voices in international dialogue. “Faith should not be hidden. Whether in government, advocacy, or culture, there is room for the message of Jesus to be amplified.”

By combining fashion, faith, and cultural heritage, Awodoyin believes the campaign marks the beginning of a larger movement connecting Nigerian creativity with global platforms. “From Nigeria to New York, this is just the beginning.”
