Kano Based airline, Azman Air has announced suspension of domestic operations effective from midnight Friday 27th March, 2020, as a result of the ravaging coronavirus.

Statement signed by Azman Accountable Officer and Chief Financial Officer, Muhammad Hadi Abdulmanuf indicated that the decision to shut its operations was reached after due consultation with relevant authorities in the available industry.

Despite the huge economic impact, the operator of the Kano based airline explained that the suspension of business will further help to curtail needless spread of the deadly virus.

With the emergency response to global health burden, the airline is losing not less than N30 million on daily basis as domestic aviation industry went to slum.

Already, other domestic operators including Air Peace, Dana air and Arik have suspended business occasioned to COVID-19.
