Banditry, insurgency yielding positive results — Buhari
President Muhammadu Buhari, yesterday, said strategies deployed by his administration to tackle banditry, kidnapping and insurgency were yielding positive results.
The president stated this at passing out parade of cadets held at the Nigerian Defence Academy, Kaduna, where a total of 630 cadets, comprising the Army, Airforce, Navy and short service, were commissioned into the Armed Forces.
Represented by the Minster of Defence, Maj Gen. Bashir Magashi (rtd.), the President said: “The government is reviewing security situation in the country through upgrade of personnel, equipment and facilities in the Armed Forces. The country is getting better by the day.”
He commended the discipline and commitment of the cadets, while urging them to be diligent in the course of their duty.
