Board to refund N41m to 2,374 pilgrims in Jigawa
The Jigawa Pilgrims Welfare Board (JPWB) on Thursday said it would refund more than N41 million to Muslim pilgrims who performed the 2015 Hajj.
The Executive Secretary of the Board, Alhaji Sani Alhassan, made the disclosure at a news conference in Dutse.
Represented by the Head of Operations of the Board, Alhaji Umar Labbo, the secretary said that the money would be refunded to 2,374 pilgrims who performed last year’s Hajj.
He explained that the refund was of services not rendered to the pilgrims while in the Holy Land.
Alhassan said that the board was directed by the National Hajj Commission of Nigeria (NAHCON) to refund the money to
the pilgrims.
According to him, each of the pilgrims will be refunded N11,247.52 at 13 designated centres across the state.
