Buhari, Magu at Jummat service in Aso Villa

Embattled Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, was among other Nigerians who joined President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa, Abuja, to offer the Jumaat prayer.

Magu, decked in a white traditional attire, popularly called Babariga, later drove out through the VIP exit in the company of other visitors immediately after the prayer.

The EFCC boss was last Wednesday again rejected by the Senate, who refused to confirm him for the second time as the substantive chairman of the anti-graft agency following an alleged damning security report against him submitted to the parliament by the officials of the Department of State Services (DSS).

The Guardian gathered that the Presidency as at the time of filing this report was yet to take any action since, according to a source, it had not received any letter from the National Assembly on what transpired in the Senate.
