Ekiti State Governor Ayodele Fayose yesterday said that Nigerians have entered “one-chance” by voting President Muhammadu Buhari in the last general elections.

Fayose, who spoke at an interactive radio programme in Ibadan said, Buhari, since coming on board has ruined the nation’s economy with his inconsistent policies.

He said the mistake made during the last presidential election by voting in President Buhari was a huge one.

The governor called on the All Progressive Congress (APC) government to stop blaming the last administration for corruption, saying most of President Buhari’s cabinet members were formerly Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) members, whose hands have been soiled.

Fayose clarified that he does not have any personal grudge with the President, but has many things against his policies and programmes, which he said were anti-people. He also implored former President Olusegun Obasanjo to stop blaming former President Goodluck Jonathan of corruption saying the erstwhile army general single-handedly foisted Jonathan on the country, but backed out when he eventually fell out with him during the 2015 polls.

On why he appointed a special adviser on Stomach Infrastructure, Fayose said the rationale was to ensure that hunger is banished from the state. On the state’s debt, Fayose said since he assumed office in 2014, over N1 billion has been deducted from the state allocation, which he said was responsible for the non-payment of workers salaries.
