Burger King targets travelers with 16th outlet in MMA2 Lagos
Burger King Nigeria has expanded its footprint with the launch of its first airport outlet at the Muritala Muhammed Airport Terminal 2 (MMA2), Lagos.
This marks a strategic move for the global fast-food chain, aimed at catering to the high influx of travelers and enhancing customer convenience at one of Nigeria’s busiest airports.
With the addition of this store, Burger King Nigeria now operates 16 outlets across the country, continuing its rapid growth just 33 months after entering the Nigerian market.
The Managing Director/Chief Executive Officer of Allied Food Confectionery Services, the company behind Burger King Nigeria, Rushdi Ibrahim, highlighted the significance of this expansion, saying, “We are excited to bring our signature quality and convenience to the airport market. Our journey has been remarkable, and we remain committed to bringing our brand to every corner of Nigeria.”
He said srategically located in MMA2, the new outlet aims to provide travelers with an exceptional dining experience, blending Burger King’s international reputation with local tastes.
According to him, the brand’s focus on convenience and quality is expected to resonate with the busy airport environment.
To celebrate the opening, Burger King Nigeria launched a promotional partnership with Ibom Air, one of Nigeria’s leading domestic airlines.
Customers who spend over N7,000 at the MMA2 outlet will have the chance to enter a lucky dip to win a return ticket on Ibom Air.
The Group Manager for Marketing and Communication at Ibom Air, Aniekan Essienette, expressed her excitement about the collaboration, saying, “We’re thrilled to partner with a brand that shares our commitment to delivering outstanding customer experiences.”
The Marketing Director for Burger King Nigeria, Lerato Makume, echoed similar sentiments, stating that this partnership allows the brand to reward its customers and enhance their travel experiences, which is a win-win for both brands.
“As Burger King Nigeria continues to grow, the launch of this airport outlet underscores the brand’s focus on quality, convenience, and customer satisfaction, positioning it as a key player in the country’s quick-service restaurant (QSR) industry,” he said.
