COMMERCIAL bus drivers, yesterday, protested what they termed outrageous ticket collection and booking along the Mile 2, Okoko and Badagry expressway.

The bus drivers, under the umbrella of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) in the area, pleaded for the intervention of the governor of Lagos State Governor, Akinwunmi Ambode.

One of the protesters, Mr Rasaq Ayodele said that since the state NURTW allegedly imposed Alhaji Kehinde Daudu to represent the union in area, the charges has risen astronomically and has been unstable.

“The fee is too high; it is not permanent fees. We can pay N2,000 today and tomorrow, it will be N3,000,” he said.
