CBN promises to deliver mandate on monetary, price stability

Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has assured Nigerians it will deliver on its core mandate of ensuring monetary and price stability in the country. 
Director, Corporate Communications Department, Dr. Isa AbdulMumin, disclosed this in Lokoja, yesterday, during a fair organised by the bank.
   
The theme of the fair was: ‘Promoting Alternative Payment Channels as Tools for Financial Inclusion’. He said the bank will continue to roll out proactive and innovative policies to ensure all economic sub-sectors receive support.
   
According to him, the fair was designed as a platform to interact with members of the public on policies and strategic interventions of the CBN for sustainable economic development of the country.  
   
“The objectives of this engagement are, among others, to sensitise members of the public on how the bank’s several initiatives can grow their businesses and contribute positively to the Nigerian economy, and efforts of the bank in driving financial inclusion in the country and ensuring consumers of financial products are protected.”  
   
He maintained that the bank, as a responsible and responsive corporate citizen, has continued to demonstrate passionate commitment in supporting businesses and promoting diversification through interventions in agriculture, health, manufacturing and other key sectors of the economy.
