CCC to cleanse world through varsity project
The Pastor and Head, Celestial Church of Christ (CCC) Worldwide, His Eminence Rev. Emmanuel Mobiyina Oshoffa has said the Celestial International University, Imeko, was established with the goal of cleaning the world with knowledge. Speaking during this year’s Holy Pilgrimage of the church in Imeko, he said the message of Christ is to move from darkness to light.
It is in this context that the church is moving beyond construction of a basilica to the establishment of a university.“We are going to use our knowledge in medicine through the Celestial International University to be sited in Imeko-Afon to cleanse the world,” he said.He said the university would be an international one, as CCC has its parishes all over the world and staff for the university would be drawn from different parts of the world.
“The language of instruction in the first five years will be English and French. Nobody will pass through the university without knowing the two languages. Also, Imeko is a border community with Republic of Benin. There will be a faculty on Regional Integration and Border Studies. We already have on ground equipment worth more than N2bn on border studies,” he said.
