TO foster better relationship between small and medium enterprises (SMEs) in the FCT, the Abuja Chamber of Commerce and Industry (ABUCCI) has inaugurated a 10-man committee under the chairmanship of Emeka Obegolu that would ensure amicable commercial dispute.

While inaugurating the steering committee in Abuja, President of the Chamber, Tony Ejinkeonye said over the years the chamber has witnessed rancorous commercial dispute resolutions particularly for small and medium enterprises leading to resort to security agencies for the settlement of commercial disputes thereby destroying business relationships built over the years.

Ejinkeonye added that ABUCCI has also observed the growing trend where contractors are having dispute with government agencies without a window to ventilate their grievances because they know that litigation will definitely lead to black listing of the company by the government agency.
