Chibugod wins young media personality award at Golden Stars

Edeh Chibuzor Chibugod has been named Young Media Personality of the Year at the 2025 Golden Stars Awards, an event held in July that brought together figures from political, corporate, and traditional institutions across Nigeria.

The organisers said the award recognises individuals shaping the future of media and public engagement in Nigeria. Chibugod, a graduate of Political Science from the University of Calabar, was selected for his contributions in content creation, digital media management, and brand promotion.

Chibugod is the founder of All Media Plug, a media outfit that focuses on entertainment publicity, music distribution, and digital visibility for clients. In addition to managing media campaigns, he also works as an actor and contributes to Wikipedia, curating verified biographies of Nigerian figures.

Reacting to the award, Chibugod said the recognition signals a responsibility to continue improving his craft. “I’ve always believed that influence comes from creating value, not just content,” he said. “This award reminds me that people are watching. And it pushes me to go harder.”

His recognition, according to some observers, points to a growing trend in which youth-led digital platforms are gaining traction in public relations and online storytelling.

The Golden Stars Awards, which recognise achievements across governance, industry, and culture, included Chibugod in its 2025 list for what organisers described as “emerging impact in the evolving digital media landscape.”
