CHICKEN pie is a high-calorie, tasty, nutritious snack that supplies high quality protein from chicken meat and other nutrients from the vegetables.

Ingredients Quantities
Whole flour 400g (2 ½ cups)
Chicken meat 100g
Brewers yeast 1 tablespoon
Milk 100ml
Butter 40g
Water 100ml
Onion 1 medium bulb
Green pepper 1 medium size
Red pepper 1 medium size
Tomatoes 3 medium size
Olive oil tablespoons
Maggi 1 cube
Salt a pinch
Method of preparation
Season the chicken meat with salt, onion and maggi.
Cut the chicken into small pieces.
Wash, clean and chop the onion, pepper and tomatoes.
Mix the flour, egg, butter, milk and water.
Heat the oil in a frying pan and sauté or fry the onion, pepper, tomatoes and chicken meat.
Using a rolling pin spread the dough over a floured board and cut circles of about 12cm diameter.
Place in a centre of each a small amount of filling to form a half-moon shape. Join the boarder to seal the turnovers.
Place the turnovers on a slightly greased over tray and bake for 20 minutes at 180oc.
Serve hot with chilled water.
