Chrisland University to hold maiden inaugural lecture

Chrisland University has announced its maiden inaugural lecture as part of the institution’s culture where an appointed or promoted teaching staff to the professorial cadre would be allowed to deliver the inaugural lecture.

The announcement was contained in a statement signed by the institution’s registrar, Samuel Omotoso, saying the lecture is part of legacies of the university tradition, as well as an opportunity for the newly promoted or appointed professors to inform colleagues and the general public about their research careers with current and future research directions.

The statement noted that a political scientist, Prof. Babafemi Badejo, would deliver the inaugural speech on July 5 at the university auditorium.

“This event will showcase knowledge, expertise and achievement of the university’s faculty, setting the stage for a new tradition of intellectual discourse and inspiration,” the statement reads.
