Christian group urges youths to kick against drug abuse

The Royal Ambassadors of Baptist churches under the Lagos West Baptist conference, a group for boys and young men between the age of 10 and 35 years whose ministry is focused on touching the lives of boys and impacting the eternity of men, recently staged a rally urging youths to kick against drug abuse, political thuggery and other vices. The rally was anchored by the Anti-Social Vices Club (ASVC), an organ of the Royal Ambassadors ministry, saddled with the responsibility of speaking against societal ills that has become endemic among young people in the country.
   
This year’s rally was kicked off by the conference president, Rev. Julius Adeniji, who threw more light on this year’s theme, tagged: ‘Say no to drug abuse and political thuggery.’ He also challenged the youths present to be role models in their various communities.
  
“We need to spread the message that true freedom only comes from God and as such, people should desist from these social vices. This year’s theme is apt and well suited for the nation because it comes at a time when the nation is preparing for her next general elections,” he said.

The procession began from the venue of the kingdom Congress and went round the Federal Housing Estate Abesan to Abesan retail market, Estate Gate, and Amosun Village.
