The General Overseer, Household of Love Church Rev Yinka Yusuf has affirmed his support towards the Silec initiative operation rescue Nigerian youths from drug abuse Lekki 2018.
According to the Founder/President Silec Initiatives, Sunny Irakpo, the hosting of the Silec initiatives campaign against drug abuse in Nigeria slated for July 24, followed the outcry for collective efforts by religious leaders in the country to use their podium to help address the high level of drug abuse and experimentation amongst youths in the country.

Irapko expressed displeasure over the heightened state of drug use and abuse amongst Nigerian youths, going by the news of over three million bottles of Codeine Cough Syrup been consumed daily by the northern youths, which he said calls for urgent need to salvage the country’s future and the youths from total destruction.

While commending the general overseer, Irakpo reaffirmed the commitment of the initiative in tackling drug abuse, saying his team would continue to do their best in helping to fix Nigeria by fighting “this enemy crippling the economic potentials in our youths.”

In his remark, the general overseer lauded the initiative saying, “this illicit acts practiced by youths is painful.”He said the outright ban of codeine and other abused drugs is not the best, adding that educating Nigerians on the dangers is the best preventive approach, as the ban will shift attention to other drug experimentation, which might lead to increase in crime rate in the country, if not properly managed and professionally handled.

The event will have in attendance prominent Nigerians like Sen. Gbenga Ashafa representing Lagos east senatorial district, Dr Dele Momodu Publisher, Chairman ovation media group, Dr Jide Idris Commissioner for Health Lagos, Col. Muhammad Mustapha Abdullai, Chairman/CEO NDLEA, Dayo Israel and host of others including artistes like Seyilaw, Mayor, Mc Aboki, Sweetmouth, koody spice, Bornbless, Igos Prince of Wazobia fm, Solo Urete, among others.
