Church spends N7.6m on IDPs in Adamawa
The Deeper Life Bible Ministry said on Monday that it had so far expended about N7.6 million on Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) in Adamawa.
The Overseer of the church in Adamawa, Pastor Adeniyi Hassan, made this known in Yola at a news briefing.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the briefing was part of activities lined up for the July 14 visit of the General Overseer and Founder of the ministry, Pastor Williams Kumuyi, to the state.
Hassan said the church was concerned about the plight of the people affected by the insurgency and would continue to do its best to assist them.
Kumuyi, he said, would be visiting Adamawa to strengthen the church and identify with the people of the state over the challenges facing them.
“He (Kumuyi) called and expressed his passion to visit Adamawa state to strengthen the church as well as identify with the people and the government on our plight.
“He felt the need to come and encourage, impact on the people of Adamawa to be strong and stand so that with his prayers, he believes God can bring solution to the situation in the land,’’ he said.
The state overseer said that Kumuyi would preach in Yola, Numan and Mayo-Belwa towns.
Hassan said that on arrival in Yola, Kumuyi would hold a special gathering of church members and the people of Adamawa, irrespective of religion.
He said the programme entitled, “It is Now Time for Total Recovery and Restoration,’’ would impact positively on the state.
Hassan urged all stakeholders, including the media, to support the event to ensure it was a success.

Good work for IDPs! Pastor Kumuyi is the Founder and GO of Deeper Life Bible Church. Is Pastor Kumuyi a Christian?
The extant teaching of the Bible is that Jesus of Nazareth founded Christianity and Jesus is alive and in Heaven and continues to be the Head (General Overseer) of the Church. If I started a foundation in my property to build a house, and later invited a mason to help build the house, will such a mason start another foundation other than the one I had started? If the mason did that, can he expect any payment from me? Will I not regard him as an enemy aiming to contest my property with me?
The early disciples of Jesus like Peter and Paul built on the foundation laid by the Master. They founded no ministry or church other than the one founded by the Master. They were itinerant preachers of the Kingdom of God in the same way the master preached. They avoided politicians like the plague! They warned against using the Church for making money and warned against love of the filthy lucre!
They also warned against the Anti-Christ and those who will use the Church for personal fame and making money. The Holy Writ said these ones will especially be active in the last days. All Christians agree that these are the last days! Are our GOs REALLY THE ANTICHRISTS?

Mr. Adikwu, I am not confused. I gave my reasons for the question asked. Can a real Christian be a founder of a Church or Ministry when the Lord Christ is the Foundation Cornerstone?
