The North Central Zonal Youth Coordinator of the City Boy Movement (CBM), Suleiman Abubakar Magaji, has joined a delegation of the political support group in the United Kingdom as part of efforts to mobilise diaspora backing for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.
Magaji said the visit was aimed at strengthening engagement with Nigerians abroad while projecting a positive image of the country’s ongoing reforms and governance direction.
According to him, outreach to Nigerians in the diaspora remains a critical component of political strategy, particularly in fostering civic participation and reinforcing national unity.
He noted that the delegation’s engagements centred on building grassroots structures among diaspora communities and encouraging greater involvement in Nigeria’s political process.
Magaji was joined by key figures within the movement, including the President’s son and CBM Patron Seyi Tinubu, Director-General Francis Shoga, and Diaspora Coordinator Bidemi Akintunde.
Also present was entertainment entrepreneur Cubana Chief Priest, alongside other stakeholders linked to government and diaspora structures.
The Guardian gathered that the delegation held a series of meetings with Nigerians based in the UK, focusing on advocacy, political awareness, and long-term engagement.
Magaji emphasised that the initiative aligns with the movement’s broader objectives of youth inclusion, diaspora collaboration, and sustained support for the Tinubu administration’s policy direction.
He added that the visit also created opportunities to build strategic partnerships and enhance the global visibility of Nigerian enterprise and talent.
