The Bishop, Voice of Freedom Ministries International, Bishop Abraham Chigbundu at the weekend provided medical care for over 2,500 indigent persons in Benin City, Edo State.

The event was to mark the end of the Freedom 2019 Convention of the church.

The church also screened people for various ailments and gave grants to 18 persons.

Speaking during the programme, Bishop Chigbundu said the gesture was part of the church’s social responsibility to help the needy.

Chigbundu, who emphasised the importance of good health, urged members to always go for regular checkup, while believing God for perfect healing.

A member of the organising committee, Mr. Sunday said the exercise would go a long way in ameliorating the plights of the needy in the society.

He called on other well-meaning Nigerians to emulate the gesture and show kindness to less privileged persons around them.
