Companies donate to Ogun communities

Lafarge imageAs part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) programmes, Lafarge Africa Plc, a multi-national cement manufacturing company has committed over N100 million to the development of 12 communities hosting the company in Ewekoro local government of Ogun State.

Lafarge is a member of LafareHolcim worldwide.
The company has also awarded N1.4 million scholarship to 14 students in the 12 communities in its catchment area.

In a similar vein, the Nigerian Breweries Plc has also donated a block of six classrooms, a library and toilet facilities to the Gateway Secondary School in Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital as part of its CRS programmes.

Lafarge has also built a community health centre in Egbado, Ajegunle as well as empowering the youths and the elderly with working tools to equip them to setup their chosen vocations. The equipment includes tricycles, motorcycles, deep freezers and grinding machines.
