Former Minister of Power, Saleh Mamman, has been convicted by a Federal High Court sitting in Abuja over allegations bordering on money laundering.
The judgment was delivered by Justice James Omotosho, who found the former minister guilty on all 12 counts filed against him by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
According to the court, the prosecution successfully proved its case beyond reasonable doubt, establishing Mamman’s involvement in the offences brought against him.
Mamman served as Nigeria’s Minister of Power under the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari from August 2019 until September 2021, before he was removed during a cabinet reshuffle.
